Jamie Hjort

Jamie grew up in the Wood River Valley and took advantage of the many recreational activities in the area with a competitive focus on skiing, tennis, and soccer. He went on to play tennis at the University of Idaho where he studied Corporate Recreation. Jamie was selected to participate as a coach and athletic scout in Yugoslavia shortly after leaving college. When he returned to the Valley, he took a position with the City of Ketchum as the Recreation Supervisor, where he worked to develop and manage youth and adult athletic programs. During this time he coached Idaho Junior Team Tennis, leading them to regionals. He has over 25 years of experience coaching and instructing tennis with both juniors and adults. He specializes in skills development to help individuals achieve their goals. Jamie is currently the assistant coach for the Wood River High School tennis team and has always had a passion for the active lifestyle.
