What’s New at Zenergy Kids’ Camp
Zenergy Kids’ Camp is gearing up for an action-packed summer starting Monday, June 8! Under new leadership, our camp program has been revamped to make it even more fun and affordable. From tennis and swimming to art, drama and cooking, campers (ages 4 to 8) are in for a treat. Here’s what new and different:
NEW director! A former elementary school teacher with a background in art, Missy Russell has the ideal experience to head up our camp. Missy is currently a substitute teacher for Blaine County School District and a Zenergy swim instructor. She'll tap her experience as a nutrition educator to integrate healthy snacks and cooking at this summer’s camp.
NEW prices! We slashed the cost of both weekly enrollment (now $175 for members; $200 for non-members) and one-day drop-ins ($40 for members; $45 for non-members).
NEW times! The camp will run from 10am to 3pm, with an early (9:00am) drop-off option for an additional $5.
NEW swim skills! On most days, we’ll hit Zenergy’s saltwater pool to practice basic swimming skills and play games.
NEW field trips! On Thursdays, we’ll take fun excursions to places such as The Hunger Coalition’s Hope Garden, Wood River Animal Shelter, Sun Valley mini golf, and Boulder Mountain Clay.
NEW healthy snacks! Throughout the week, campers will make their own yummy, nutritious, nut-free noshes (with gluten- and dairy-free options available).
NEW emphasis on art! Kids will tap their imaginations with projects that encourage creativity, skills and confidence, such as decorating bird houses and making a rocket out of a refrigerator box.
NEW themed dance! Think hoola, hip hop, Zumba and more!
NEW counselors! Some of you may know new head counselor Rose Schwartzbach from Zenergy’s front desk. All counselors will be CPR & First Aid certified, and ready to have a blast with your kids.
NEW Kid Check! Thanks to a new computerized check-in system, you’ll have the ability to leave notes for staff or receive messages during the day.
Zenergy Kids’ Camp will be serving up fun Monday through Friday through August 14.
