Age and eat well

The colors, sunny days and crisp nights of autumn combined with the bounty of summer produce are always a great reason to celebrate your health and body. In the Wood River Valley and around the nation, many communities celebrate healthy eating and lifestyles through harvest festivals and events. Enjoying five successful years, the 2014 Sun Valley Harvest Festival, Sept.18-21, brings food, health and activities together for one helluva an event. Offering scenic foodie adventures, the Harvest Festival includes fishing and biking, craft cocktails and caviar, samplings from over 50 local restaurants, wine tasting, and techniques from world-class chefs.
“We are always searching for the next trend when it comes to food and travel,” said Ed Sinnott, festival director. “The two go hand-in-hand, and we want to offer festival guests an incredible outdoor experience along with outstanding food and wine. From fly-fishing with professional guides to hiking with local Olympic athletes, this year’s festival can’t be beat when it comes to food and wine adventuring.”
Zenergy welcomes and supports this blend of culinary delights and outdoor recreation because it’s not only living well, but it’s also great fun especially for the highly anticipated “Foodie Adventures” showcase four dining adventures that incorporate unbeatable scenery and exceptional, intimate dining experiences. Each of the adventure destinations: Swiftsure Ranch, Nighthawk Farm, Galena Lodge and Idaho Rocky Mountain Ranch is paired with guest chefs who will create an enticing menu featuring acclaimed wineries. Transportation is provided to and from each adventure, and gear for the biking and fishing trips is included.
