Easy Smoothie:
Prep: Cut up and freeze separately on a baking sheet for 20-30 minutes. Then put in a container. This helps keep them from sticking together.
- 1 banana
- 1 cup Strawberries (frozen or fresh)
- 1 C (or handful) of frozen spinach or kale
- 1 scoop of your favorite protein and/ or ½ C walnuts
- 1 cup of your favorite liquid (OJ, Almond milk or green tea)
- Blend and drink!
Chocolate Banana Ice Cream
- 2-3 bananas (frozen)
- 1-2 Table Spoons of Cocoa powder
- Place in Vita mix or food processor, blend until smooth (like soft-serve ice cream) then serve
Grandma Malone’s Never Fail Banana Bread
- 1 egg
- 3 lg bananas
- 1 C sugar ( I like to substitute ¾ C honey)
- 1 ¾ C flour (my favorite is Bob’s Redmill GF All purpose baking flour)
- ½ tsp Pink Himalayan sea salt
- ½ C nuts
- ½ C oil (I usually use olive oil)
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1tsp vanilla
- Mix
- Bake 375 50-60 minutes
Grain free pancakes
- 3 bananas
- 3 TBSP Almond Butter
- 3 eggs
- Mix and cook like regular pancakes. They are a little heavy, yet sweet and satisfying. You decide if you need to add butter or syrup. I usually eat them plain.
