Healthy Recipe: 4-Ingredient Raw Brownie Bites

Looking for a heatlhier way to satisfy your sweet tooth? Whip up a batch of Raw Brownie Bites. Made with just a handful of wholesome ingerdients, it's a nourishing treat packed with protein, heatlhy fats, Vitamin E, B viatmins, potassium and a variety of antioxidants. Enjoy them as dessert or a post-workout snack. Add a tablespoon or two of shredded coconut, ground flax or ground chia seeds for a change of pace. 

Raw Brownie Bites

Yields: 30 small balls

INGREDIENTS

1 cup raw almonds
15 whole pit­ted dates
2/3 cup raw cacao pow­der
1 table­spoon honey
2 to 3 table­spoons water
Confectioner’s sugar (optional) 

DIRECTIONS

Place almonds in food proces­sor and pulse until ground. Add dates, cacao pow­der, honey, and water. Process until ingre­di­ents form a sticky mass (you may have to add extra water to get the right con­sis­tency). Use your hands to form small balls. Put a cou­ple table­spoons of confectioner’s sugar on a plate, then roll balls in sugar. (Alter­na­tively, you could place balls on a plate and use a sifter to dust just the tops of the balls with sugar.). Place in an air-tight con­tainer and store in the refrig­er­a­tor for up to a week.
