Ten nutrients you need in your life…and you can’t get them in food. Sounds like the start of an ad campaign for the latest vitamin supplement doesn’t it?
It’s not.
I often meet new patients coming to me who are frustrated. They tell me: “I’m not eating sugar, I gave up my coffee, I am not going out for drinks, I’m going to the gym everyday. I’m doing everything, yet I’m not seeing results.” Or, they say: “I did it. I’ve done it, several times. I followed the plan, I ate what they told me, I exercised, I lost the weight…and somehow it found me again.”
Well, I tell them, I think you may be missing the ten essential nutrients. They often make the difference between dieter’s successful moments and individual’s long-term success—achieving health.
The Ten Essential Nutrients—they aren’t found in food, but they have everything to do with what food you choose and how your body uses it.
- Nutrient L – for LAUGHTER
- Nutrient M – for MASSAGE
- Nutrient N – for NURTURE (YOURSELF as well as OTHERS)
- Nutrient O – for OXYGEN
- Nutrient P – for PHYSICAL ACTIVITY
- Nutrient Q – for QUIET
- Nutrient R – for RELAXATION
- Nutrient S – for SLEEP
- Nutrient T – for TIME
- Nutrient U – for UNDERSTANDING
Take time to see where these nutrients fit into your plan. I promise, they make a huge difference.
